Bolalar

Bolalar is one of the most popular Uzbek pop music bands.

Bolalar's singer and leader Tohir Sodiqov was born in the old part of Tashkent in 1973. His father died when he was a child and his mother raised him as a single parent.

Tohir finished school #41 in Tashkent in 1989, when he and his friends Bahodir Pulatov and Javohir Zakirov founded the Bolalar music band. The groups artistic director and composer was Ruslan Sharipov.

In 1990, Bolalar presented their first album, after which they have become, perhaps, the number one most popular boys band in Uzbekistan and in the neighboring countries.

To date, Tohir Sodiqov and Bolalar have produced several albums all of which have become hits. Bolalar have given over 1000 concerts throughout Uzbekistan.

Tohir Sodiqov is the recipient of several prestious awards such as "The Distinguished Artist of Uzbekistan", "Nihol", Tarona".

Tohir also starred in two new Uzbek movies "Tohir va Zuhra" [Tohir & Zuhra] and "Ko'zlaring Mayus" [Your Eyes are Sad] .

In addition to being the leader of Bolalar, Tohir Sodiqov has also founded his own record label Kelajak Records. He composes music and writes his songs himself.

He is married and his three children: two daughters and one son.
