Samuel Chase (congressman)

Samuel Chase (1789–August 3, 1838) was an American lawyer from Otsego County, New York. He represented New York in the U.S. House from 1827 until 1829.

Chase was born in Cooperstown, New York and served as district attorney for the county before being elected to Congress. He died in Richfield, New York in 1838 and is buried in the "Lakeview Cemetery" there.
