Methodology

ComRes uses a panel survey approach for its polls of legislators. In both Houses of the UK Parliament, the European Parliament, and the devolved legislatures, ComRes sends out self-completion postal questionnaires to legislators who have pre-agreed to take part in surveys; “The panel”. ComRes’s panel of MPs for example is made up of nearly 300 members. A recent survey of the House of Lords showing the opposition of the house to reform was a panel survey of this type.[4] These panels are regularly refreshed from the wider membership of each legislature.[5]

Poll archive

The company has freely available political voting intention polls on their website along with results from regular surveys conducted on MPs, MSPs, AMs, MLAs, MEPs, Councillors and Peers within the UK and Europe, and London business leaders.[6]
