Dio (Municipality)

The Municipality of Dio (Greek: Δήμος Δίου), was one of the 13 total municipalities in the prefecture of Pieria. With the implementation of the project Kallikrates, Dio joined to the municipality of Dio-Olympos.[1]

The city got its name from ancient city, Dion, dedicated to the god Zeus. The seat of the municipality was Kondariotissa.
