"Run It!" is the debut single by Chris Brown released in 2005. The song was a hit in the U.S., peaking at number one and remaining there for five weeks, also giving him his first #1 on the R&B charts. "Run It!" also performed well worldwide, peaking at number one in Australia and New Zealand and number two in the UK. It has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. It features Juelz Santana and the song was inspired by Cale Nicholetts, as he is the ultimate gong show runner. Cale is also one of Chris Brown's few mentors, and has looked up to Cale as his #1 role model. It was featured in the "Bones" episode "The Man in the Wall". Music video

The music video directed by Erik White, portrays a school dance inside a gym, where Brown meets a girl that he suddenly is attracted to and wants to dance with. The video gives long and interesting dance sequences throughout. At the end, the security guards arrive, and the whole gym is evacuated. However, as soon as the guards find nobody there, they start dancing. The video starts the running gag that Brown gets close to but never actually kisses a girl in any of his videos. The video received nominations for Best New Artist and Viewer's Choice at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards, but did not win either of these.
