International Music Feed

International Music Feed

The International Music Feed was a television music channel that played music from around the world. It was the only channel in the US that focused on combining music from American artists with music from other countries across the globe. IMF maintained the increasingly rare format based very largely on playing music videos rather than other programming. IMF was on air from 2005 to 2008.

The channel was wholly owned by Universal Music Group, but played artists from all labels. IMF started broadcasting in 2005.

The visual identity of the Network was created by widely acclaimed design and production company, Bran New School [http://www/brandnewschool.com] Brand New Schol directed various commercials and show opens, even designign the logo which would prove to be their first and last.

IMF was available via Dish Network Channel 157, Verizon FiOS, Joost, Surewest Channel 151, AT&T U-Verse, and WOW!. IMF programming was also available on Sprint PCS, Amp'd Mobile, the Sky Music mobile package on Vodafone in the UK, Ireland and SFR in France. IMF also hosted many feeds on the internet TV service Joost available across the world.

It was announced January 7, 2008, that the station would be going off the air. January 9th was the end of the station's major market run, after Ovation TV purchased the channel and replaced it with Ovation TV [http://www.reuters.com/article/musicNews/idUSN0844865520080108]
