Lermontov (town)

Lermontov ( _ru. Ле́рмонтов) is a town in Stavropol Krai, Russia. Population: ru-census2002|22964|; su-census1989|20772|; 16,500 (1973).

The town was named after a Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov. It was granted town status in 1956. Lermontov is located on the mountainside of Beshtau close to Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk, and Yessentuki.
