Gudermessky District

Gudermessky District ( _ru. Гудерме́сский райо́н), also known as Gudermes District (number five on the map) is a raion (district) of the Chechen Republic, Russia. Its administrative center is the town of Gudermes. According to the 2002 Russian Census, the 2002 population of the District (excluding Gudermes) comprised 71,082 people.

State health facilities are represented by one central district hospital, a town hospital in Gudermes, and four district hospitals in Oyskhara, Engel-Yurt, Gerzel-Aul, and Koshkeldy. District state health care services here are reported to be among the best in the Republic; birth rates are also the highest in Gudermes (27.0). There are twelve registered HIV cases in the District and a high prevalence of tuberculosis.
