Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil (b. 7 August 1943 in Cairo) is an Egyptian architect who designed over 15 mosques in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

In 1965 El-Wakil graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, where he was a student of Hassan Fathy. Subsequently he lectured in their Department of Architecture (1965-1970). Since 1971 he has been in private practice as an architect. Since 1993 he has been based in Miami, Florida.

Notable buildings include the Quba Mosque and the Qiblatain Mosque in Medina and the King Saud Mosque in Jeddah.
