Pablo Andrés Contreras Fica (born September 11 1978 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean football (soccer) defender. Contreras previously played with Celta Vigo in Spain from 2003-07 prior to his move to Braga for the second half of 2007-08 season. In June 2008 Pablo agreed on a two-year contract with PAOK of Thessaloniki, Greece. As to why he decided to move to Greece, he cited his trust in his former teammate -and current technical manager of PAOK- Zisis Vryzas, as well as the club's president, Theodoros Zagorakis.In his arrival to Macedonia airport he expressed his astonishment for the fans of PAOK who were waiting for him.

He debuted with Colo-Colo, a Chilean club in . He appeared in 37 games and won two championships in the three years he spent with the club.He then made a move to France to club AS Monaco, playing in 28 games and winning the league championship and Trophée des champions in 2000.

Contreras was also part of the bronze medal winning team in 2000 Sydney games with Chile. He has been a regular with the Chilean national team since his debut on February 17, 1999 against Guatemala, and took part in Copa América 2007.

He also holds a Spanish passport.
