Erik Marcus runs the website [http://Vegan.com Vegan.com] , which discusses veganism news, vegan topics of interest, animal rights and animal welfare through a short, weekly podcast. Marcus has written two books: "Vegan: The New Ethics of Eating" and "Meat Market: Animals, Ethics and Money". He currently resides in South Lake Tahoe, California. Marcus was raised in Westport, Connecticut and graduated from Staples High School in 1985.

In 2008 Marcus changed the podcast format to a shorter, weekly podcast, called "VegTalk." This podcast features interviews with notable people in the vegan movement while still having some of the similar content as the previous podcast.

In addition to his regular podcasts, books, and popular website, he's known as a conference and public speaker who travels widely across North America. His early career writing software has been folded into his current technical ventures.
