The second FIRA Women's European Championship saw the debut of Germany and a five nation event. Unfortunately this tournament is probably the most poorly documented European women's rugby tournament ever - some scores are currently elusive, and even the basic stwructure of the event is unclear.
French records indicate that they played only two games, while German records indicate that they played three - the results of these five fixtures appear below. The French fixture with Italy was presumably a "semi-final", and it appears likely that the other final place was decided on a three team pool, won by Spain with wins over Netherlands and Germany. In addition the final placings would also haved required Italy to play (and beat) Netherlands. No other structure appears to match with the published information.
