Talnakh

Talnakh ( _ru. Талнах) was a town (until 2005) about 25 kilometers north of Norilsk at the foot of the Putoran Mountains in Taymyr Peninsula, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. In 2005 is was merged into Norilsk. Population: ru-census|p02=58,654|p89=62,849 It is the site of the mines serving the production of nickel and other metals in Norilsk's metallurgical industry. The mineral talnakhite is named after Talnakh.
