Aero Mongolia was an airline based in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. It operated domestic services to six destinations and international scheduled services to Hohhot, Irkutsk and Ulan-Ude. History

The airline was established in 2002 and started operations on 25 May 2003. It was established by MIAT Mongolian Airlines to feed international services by MIAT, Korean Air, Air China and Aeroflot from Ulan Bator. It has 55 employees (at March 2007). It received its first Fokker 50 in December 2002 and received its Fokker 100 in January 2006. With the arrival of the Fokker 100, Aero Mongolia introduced its first flights to South Korea. Aero Mongolia leased another Fokker 100 in June 2006. At the end of 2006 the airline started a direct flight route to Tianjin, China.

On 31 October 2007, Mongolian aviation authorities suspended Aero Mongolia flights temporarily after the airline failed safety checks. Now currently using 2 Fokker 50's which were modificated in 2008 in Germany.

Aero Mongolia also operates scheduled charter flights around Mongolia. According to the company website, the air line is planning to fly to Kyzyl, the capital of the Tuva Republic in Russia, and Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Autonomous Region in China.
