Studiomaster were a UK company founded in the 1070s who manufactured a range of low end (MI) mixing desks which were popular in the 1980s. Sadly they could not compete with the Chinese made Behringer and Mackie despite moving their production to China and the company folded. The brand name now belongs to Recording Studio Design Ltd.

One of their chief designers was Graham "Poopie" Stevenson who also worked briefly at Neve and who runs sound at the Horn music venue in St Albans (although he admitted copying designs from QSC amplifiers on the newsgroup alt.audio.pro.live-sound where he often posts).
