Zameerud-din Shah

Lt. General Zameerud-din Shah is the Deputy Chief of Army Staff of India .

A alumni of St Joseph’s College, Nainital he is brother of noted Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah.He took part in the Longewala battle in Jaisalmer sector in the 1971 war. General Shah was with 185 Light Regiment into which he was commissioned . Shah’s son too is an Army officer.He is tipped to be the first muslim chief of Indian army.
