IBM Pulse conference

The [http://ibm.com/tivoli/pulse08 IBM Pulse conference] is a large annual IBM Service Management event that is intended to bring together a community of IBM Customers, Business Partners, industry analysts, and technical experts to discuss the latest technology and best practices in the Service Management industry. The conference mainly focuses on IBM Tivoli, Maximo and Tivoli Netcool products and solutions. For more information, see Tivoli Software.

Given recent acquisitions by IBM which have become part of its Tivoli brand, IBM has combined past conferences (such as the Tivoli Technical Users Conference and Maximo World) into a single conference, IBM Pulse 2008.1 The conference is held at a different location every year. In 2008, the event will take place May 18–22 in Orlando, Florida at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel.2

The keynote speakers for the first of these conferences are Lance Armstrong, seven-time Tour de France champion and Chairman and Founder of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and John Wood, founder and CEO of Room to Read. Hootie & the Blowfish, the Grammy-award winning rock band, will provide entertainment at the conference.
