Moldovan diaspora

Moldovan diaspora is a diaspora of Moldovans of Romanian descent, i.e., citizens of the Republic of Moldova of Romanian ethnic origin living abroad. Very few of them have settled in other parts of the world, but there is a significant number of them in some countries, mostly in the former Soviet Union, Italy and Portugal. Moldovan is a regional name for ethnic Romanians living in Romania,the Republic of Moldova and elsewhere. The Moldovan diaspora is an integral part of the Romanian diaspora abroad, sharing the same language and culture.
