Ian Davidson (scriptwriter)

Ian Davidson is a British actor and scriptwriter. He mostly worked with British comedies from the 1960s to the 1980s.

He appeared in the same Oxford University Review as Terry Jones and Michael Palin and is probably best known for his numerous appearances in Monty Python's Flying Circus. He also had a role in the 2008 film Still Waters Burn.

In his scriptwriting career, he wrote numerous episodes of The Brittas Empire, The Ronnie Corbett Show, The Ben Elton Show, Dave Allen, and many others. He has also written for Barry Humphries.
