HMS Centurion

Восемь кораблей и береговая база Королевского флота носили название HMS Centurion, в честь римских центурионов. Еще один планировался, но отменен.

  • корабль 4 ранга; спущен на воду в 1691; разобран в 1728.
  • линейный корабль 3 ранга; спущен на воду в 1812 как HMS Clarence (1812). Перименован в HMS Centurion в 1826; разобран в 1828.
  • додредноутный линкор типа Centurion; спущен на воду в 1892; продан в 1910.
  • линкор типа King George V спущен на воду в 1911. Переделан в корабль-мишень в 1926, числился как сторожевой корабль в 1940; затоплен в качестве брекватера при Арроманш в 1944.
  • HMS Centurion планировался как 9000-тонный крейсер в 1945, но отменен в 1946.
  • HMS Centurion (береговая база) — центр подготовки новобранцев, создан в Хаслмер в 1956, официально вступил в строй в 1957; получил имя в 1964. Передислоцирован в Госпорт, превращен в казарму новобранцев и расчетно-финансовый центр в 1970. Распущен в 1994, стал корпусом Centurion, тендером базы HMS Sultan, занимался в основном персоналом.
